  1. SHERLOCK for Windows Version 3.0 is the first release of SHERLOCK 
  2. for Windows.  The previous release of SHERLOCK is Version 2.73 
  3. and it is for DOS.  It is still being distributed.

  16.           THREED.VBX        Files for Windows functions.  You may
  17.           CMDIALOG.VBX      already have these in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM.

  19.           AUTOEXEC.TU1      Test data files for use by the
  20.           AUTOEXEC.TU2      tutorial.
  21.           AUTOEXEC.TU3
  22.           AUTOEXEC.TU4

  24.           FILE_ID.DIZ       Shareware Information files.
  25.           VENDOR.DOC

  29. You must have the file VBRUN300.DLL in the  \WINDOWS\SYSTEM  
  30. subdirectory.  VBRUN300.DLL is a 400K file, 230K zipped, and can 
  31. be found on most bulletin boards as well as on line services such 
  32. as CompuServe.  If you can not find it, call me, 301-460-0354, to 
  33. arrange to download it from my computer.

  35. To install SHERLOCK, run SETUP.EXE from the WINDOWS Program 
  36. Manager and it will create a subdirectory for SHERLOCK and copy 
  37. the following files to it:

  40.           SHERLOCK.HLP
  41.           TUTORIAL.HLP
  42.           SHERLOCK.WRI
  43.           TUTORIAL.WRI
  44.           THREED.VBX
  45.           CMDIALOG.VBX

  47.           AUTOEXEC.TU2
  48.           AUTOEXEC.TU3
  49.           AUTOEXEC.TU4
  50.           READ_ME.1ST
  51.           VENDOR.DOC
  52.           SYSOP.DOC
  53.           LICENSE.DOC
  54.           FILE_ID.DIZ

  56. SETUP.EXE will create a SHERLOCK program group and install the 
  57. SHERLOCK icon. 
  58.  
  59. You may copy the files yourself instead of using SETUP.EXE.  
  60. Create a subdirectory for SHERLOCK and copy the above files to 
  61. it.  If THREED.VBX and CMDIALOG.VBX are in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM 
  62. subdirectory, you do not have to copy these.

  65. SHERLOCK for Windows is distributed as Shareware.  The 
  66. registration fee is $25 plus $4 S & H.  To print the registration 
  67. form from SHERLOCK on paper or to a file for electronic 
  68. registration, select Shareware Registration from the Help menu.    
  69. Credit cards are accepted.  You may register by mail, phone or 
  70. email.
